  • Handsome Boy Modeling School was a collaborative hip-hop project between super-producers Prince Paul and Dan "The Automator" Nakamura. Taking their name from "The Prettiest Week of My Life," an episode of Chris Elliott's cult classic sitcom Get a Life, the duo loaded their debut album, So...How's Your Girl?, with samples of Elliott and guests like Saturday Night Live's Father Guido Sarducci touting the benefits of a Handsome Boy Modeling School education. The album included guest appearances by such artists as DJ Shadow, Mike D of The Beastie Boys and Miho Hatori of Cibo Mato. For the purposes of the album, Paul and Nakamura took on the personas of Chest Rockwell and Nathaniel Merriwether, satirizing snobbery, vanity and male models.

The band released a second album, White People, in 2004, but by 2006, Paul and Nakamura ended their creative relationship due to "business conflicts."
