Ham glaze is a thick liquid that is spread over the meat during cooking or at the end of the cooking process. The glaze is used to enhance the flavor of the meat and keep it moist and tender.
A ham glaze can be made of many combinations of foods and flavors. There is typically no right or wrong. It is basically just a matter of taste for the cook. The glaze should be somewhat thick in texture so that it stays on the meat and does not run off.
There are many recipes for glazes, try one on your next ham, but why not try making your own flavor combinations instead.
