Halo is a video game series which was first developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft Game Studios in 1991. The science fiction game centers on a futuristic battle between humans and aliens. Aside from the video games, comics, books, and toys carrying the Halo theme are available at stores and online depicting all six episodes of the Halo series which are in existence. Almost ten years after the initial Halo release, Halo: Combat Evolved appeared on November 15, 2001. Halo 2 came out on November 9, 2004. On September 25, 2007, Halo 3 was released. This game is based on the combat experiences of a fictional character, a cyber-soldier, and his Artificial Intelligence (AI) sidekick. Halo is classified as a first person shooter type game. An FPS or first person shooter game is a type of game which allows its player to perform as if they are the main character. Since the original game was developed for computers, a keyboard was used to control motions and actions of the character and surroundings. On the Xbox game, traditional controls are used where the left thumbstick on the controller moves the character and the right thumbstick changes the vantage point.
