• Desirai Labrada, 29, and John Henry, 26 met online four years ago while playing Halo. At the time she lived in New York and he lived in Florida. They began for play games regularly and when John didn’t show up online one day, Desirai texted him her phone number.

  They started as Halo teammates and soon fell in love. They first met in person in 2005. In January 2008, while waiting for John to propose, Desirai came up with the idea for a Halo themed wedding.

  In-keeping with the Halo theme, the couple will have flowers in the game colors of crimson and royal blue. They have found a jeweler to make them Halo shaped rings and a baker to provide a Halo themed cake. The couple will walk down the isle to the music that plays on the Halo 3 menu screen.

  The wedding will take place on January 17, 2009 at Otronicon in a hall in the Orlando Science Center. The wedding ceremony will be private, but the bride and groom will make an appearance for convention attendees. After their wedding they will host a Bride vs. Groom Halo 3 tournament that will be open to the public.
