Halo Warthog

-->
  • The Warthog is the futuristic equivalent of a military Jeep used in the Halo video game franchise. In the original Halo Warthogs were indestructible and could be used indefinitely. In later installments of the franchise Warthogs took damage and could be completely destroyed by enemy fire. The official name of the United Nations Space Command is the M12 and it plays a vital role in both the competitive and campaign modes. Warthogs make excellent transport for players in a capture the flag match offering both a speedy way to transport players to and from enemy bases as well as strong enough firepower to take out would be attackers.

    In Halo 2, the warthog is more or less the same, just that it is now destrucible. More people are tempted to use it as when it is destroyed, the enemy can't use it.

    Overall, the Gauss Warthog is the best Warthog. With two shots for a ghost and 1 shot for a foot soldier, it's the perfect weapon for killing.

  • Warthogs in Halo Wars

    The Warthog is one of nine vehicles that can be used by the UNSC in Halo Wars. In that game, the Warthog can be upgraded to carry an M41 LAAG and later an M68 Gauss Cannon at a reduction of speed. The Warthog can jump gaps, and has a ramming ability as its special attack. It can also be upgraded so its passenger has a grenade launcher or a Gauss Gun.

    A special version of the Warthog, called the "Flaming Warthog" was a preorder bonus for the game. This Warthog was exactly the same as the normal Warthog as far as functionality, but featured flame decals on its sides.Halopedia: Halo Wars
