- Watch the cutscene. The action moves to a new planet, Arcadia!
- Black Box Location: There is an optional mission to save "Adam". The black box is leaning against the building where you rescue him.
- You start off the mission with Forge and a few hornets. You'll notice that Forge is back in his warthog again.
- New Unit: Hornet
- Hornets are the UNSC's basic air unit. They are strong against vehicles, but weak against infantry.
- Travel East to find a group of infantry. Your hornets will massacre them.
- Optional Objective: Kill 50 Elites
- Keep heading West. You'll see a stream of civilians running from the Southern path. Save them from the nearby elites.
- Now you need to protect the civilians until transport arrives. This takes 20 minutes in real time. A timer appears at the top of the list showing how much longer you have.
- There are 3 cargo vehicles you need to protect. The location of all 3 will appear on your minimap. You can't miss them.
- TIP: The covenant periodically attack each cargo vehicle. Listen carefully, the evacuation vehicles announce that they need help if there are enemies attacking them.
- Follow the group of civilians as they travel North. Some elites attack them from the East. You can kill the elites easily, but the civilians will be slaughtered if you're not there to protect them.
- As soon as you kill the elites, cargo transport 3 calls for help. You can see on the minimap where it is. Head West towards it.

- Kill any stray covenant troops you find as you travel towards cargo 3.
- At cargo 3 you should easily be able to kill the attacking covenant. But now you'll soon have another problem.
- There is a group of civilians running towards cargo 3, but their path is guarded by elites and towers. They're actually traveling to cargo transport 2, but they're close by.
- Travel South-East to the civilians. Guard them as they make their way to the cargo transport.
- After a little bit, Cargo 3 gets blown up. Don't worry, this cutscene is mandatory. There is no way you can save cargo 3.
- Now you'll get a chance to build a base.
- Travel South to find a potential base. Click on it and use the command circle to construct a base.
- TIP: On the right side of the screen you can see how many civilians have escaped. You need 500 to complete the optional objective.
- Now head East to the other potential base. Construct a second base on this spot.
- At each of your bases construct a barracks. Then make 2 supply pads at each base once the barracks are done.

- The most important thing now is saving civilians. Groups of civilians run in a steady stream to both cargo transports. Patrol back and forth between your two bases. Covenant troops periodically attack the civilians. Just make sure as many as possible survive.
- Upgrade each of your bases to a station. This allows for 2 more buildings at each base. Place supply pads at every available spot.
- Start pumping out marines. You don't have a lot of time in this mission, so it's easier to make lots of marines then upgrade to higher technology.
- You should always be training marines. Just keep making a steady stream of them until you reach the unit cap of 30.
- TIP: There are black sniper towers all over the map. Highlight a marine and then target these towers with X. The marines garrison inside giving them a big boost to their defense.
- After a little bit the covenant start attacking your Eastern base. This isn't so bad, at least they aren't going for the civilians or cargo planes.
- Send your troops back to the base to protect it. If you have extra cash, build up some towers around your base.
- TIP: Once upgraded to a station, your base can hold 4 towers. These are essential for defending your base while your army is away.
- When there is only 10 minutes left, things get a little harder. The covenant keep the same strategy, but send units more frequently.

- The enemy will periodically send units to attack cargo 1. There is a NPC Spartan there to protect it, but she can't hold them off forever. Make sure that you come defend this cargo transport whenever she yells for help.
- TIP: You have special commander abilities to help in the battle. One of them is Heal. Press D-pad Up to see your commander powers. Then select heal. You can place a healing circle anywhere on the map.
- Use your healing circle on either cargo ship if their shield gets low. This healing works on both buildings and units. Keep in mind that it costs 350 supplies and has a recharge time. So use your healing wisely.
- Make sure to replace any marines that die. Always have your units maxed out.
- There is a special achievement in this mission. To get it you must save a little boy. Go to your Western base. Just North of it is a building with a control panel. Click on the panel with A to bring up the command circle. Open the door and the little boy will run out. Just make sure he makes it to the cargo transport to get Achievement: The Real Winner.
- By the last 5 minutes you should have killed at least 50 elites. When this happens, the Wuv Woo Skull appears on the stairs near your Eastern base. It's next to the bronze statue. Send any ground unit there to collect it.

- Don't fret if you lose one of your cargo ships! Only one needs to survive.
- At the end of 20 minutes you'll win the mission regardless of how many civilians actually survived. The only way you can lose is if all of the cargo transports get destroyed. And since the covenant are usually busy attacking civilians or your base, this isn't very difficult.
- NOTE: There are optional objectives for saving both 500 and 1000 civilians, but this is just for increasing your campaign score. It won't effect your progress or get you any achievements.
