About the Game
Developed by Ensemble Studios, rather than Bungie, Halo Wars is a very different game from the other Halo games. Though it takes place in the same universe and features many familiar characters and vehicles, Halo Wars is a real-time strategy game, rather than a first-person shooter. Players will control entire armies at a time rather than just one character. The game is designed to bring some fresh perspectives to the series and allow new heroes to emerge.The game was built from the ground up for the Xbox 360 so the developers promise an intuitive control scheme and a beautiful game.Ensemble Studios is no stranger to the RTS genre, having developed the critically acclaimed Age of Empires series of games. Unfortunately, the studio is set to shut down after completing Halo Wars. The studio had been in business for 12 years.Official Site: Halo Wars

Plowed through the Halo Wars demo. Very impressed by the quality of it. They took the RTS genre and made it work very well on a console.
