Halo 4 Coming in 2012

In what Microsoft coined as "The news millions of fans have been waiting for," the software company has revealed they are developing Halo 4.c The announcement came during the E3 Expo in Los Angeles on June 6, 2011.cc The game -- which is being co-developed by 343 Industries -- was unveiled with a teaser trailer, and is scheduled to arrive in time for the 2012 holiday season. The franchise, which is now in its tenth year, is also developing a remastered version of the first Halo, complete with updated graphics, reworked levels and new multiplayer options.c 

Frank O'Conner, the Franchise Development Director for 343 Industries, said the remastered game will be offered at a discounted price.c It will also contain a feature that will allow the player to switch back and forth between the updated and original versions. 

Bringing back the character Master Chief, Halo 4 will kick off a brand new trilogy for the wildly popular series.c
