The soundtrack to the highly successful video game Halo 3 was released on November 20th 2007 a few weeks after the game was released. The soundtrack is contained on 2 discs and was composed by Martin ODonnell and Michael Salvatori who worked on the scores of both of the previous games. The scores features remixed version of many of the popular songs from the two previous games adapted to fit the mood and style of Halo 3's gameplay. Absent from the third soundtrack are the songs written by popular artists that appeared on the Halo 2 Soundtrack, the format mirrors the original game's soundtrack using orchestras and choirs to record the mood setting music.
