The Halloween films are a popular horror/slasher series starring the fictional character Michael Myers as the killer. The original Halloween was written and directed by John Carpenter and received the most critical acclaim of any of the films in the series. Rob Zombie wrote and directed a remake of the 1978 film, which was released in 2007.
