Hallelujah American Idol

  • American Idol contestant Jason Castro performed the song "Hallelujah" on the March 4, 2008 episode of the hit televised singing competition.
  • Judges' Comments

    • Randy: said that the song had a great degree of difficulty, and Castro did a pretty good job of it. Randy gives Castro props for coming out with a guitar and showing a different side of himself.
    • Paula: said that that the song has a high level of difficulty, but that is glad that Castro sang it with ease. She's glad that Castro showed a "beautiful vulnerability," and says all the guys have done great so far tonight. She is loving Castro in this competition because he is unique and recognizable. His phrasing is what makes him great.
    • Simon: said that the Jeff Buckley version of the song is one of his favorite of all time, and thought that Castro's version was absolutely brilliant. One of the best performances of the night, and definitely Castro's strongest performance to date.
