Top-level Al Qaeda militant in Iraq Hajji Hammadi was killed in a raid by U.S coalition forces on November 11, 2008. According to the U.S. Military, Hammadi was suspected of the kidnapping and slaying of U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Keith Matthew Maupin in the spring of 2004.
