Hair clips are clips used for keeping hair in place or for decorating the hair. They may be made of a number of materials including metal or plastic. Many have decorations on them, allowing them to coordinate with outfits. They can be made with or without teeth to grasp the hair. Hair clips made for children are commonly covered in ribbon or have pictures or small characters on them. Hair clips made for adults commonly have beads or metal accents. Hair clips are commonly used for infant girls, made with a rubber material or Velcro to hold securely in the soft, fine baby hair.
