Hail to the Chimp is a "party" style fighting game for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. The game was designed by Wideload Games and published by the Gamecock Media Group. Wideload Games has had previous success with games such as the Stubbs the Zombie series of games. Hail to the Chimp features the use of the Unreal Engine 3.
Story
In Hail to the Chimp you take on the role of a character that lives in the animal kingdom. The game is inspired by recent presidential elections in the United States. When the lion has been dethroned as king of the jungle, it is up to your character to gain favor with the animal kingdom and become elected the new king of the jungle.
Gameplay
Hail to the Chimp is a party-styled game with fighting elements that offers a multiplayer game experience. You can play in a single player mode against the computer but it's encouraged to play against others. The game involves a series of mini games are similar to those of Mario Party 8 or WarioWare: Smooth Moves. Throughout the mini-games, the goal is to collect as many clams (Votes) as possible, which are awarded as you win mini-game after mini-game. The player with the most clams, wins the game. The game adds another twist with the addition of the ability to form alliances a la Survivor. The game allows a total of ten player competition, both human and computer in the race for the king of the jungle.
