Guys and Dolls is a Frank Loesser musical, based on the short story, The Idyll Of Miss Sarah Brown, Damon Runyon. It was first produced on Broadway, opening at the 46th Street Theatre on November 24, 1950, starring Robert Alda, Sam Levene, Isabel Bigley, and Vivian Blaine. The Broadway run was followed by a successful 1953 London production and 1955 musical film. The show has since enjoyed numerous award-winning revivals and tours, becoming a popular choice for school and community theater productions.
