He is known as the laid back California guy with spiky bleached hair. His love of food began when he was ten. Selling pretzels from a cart know as "The Awesome Pretzel". Between that and washing dishes he earned enough money to study abroad in Chantilly, France. It was there he gained an appreciation for international cuisine along with the culture and lifestyle associated with it.

Restaurants
Guy and his business partner opened an Italian based restaurant called "Johnny Garlics" in 1996. The first location was in Santa Rosa California. They have now added a second and a third in Windsor and Roseville.
They then melded two unlikely culinary flavors into one restaurant and opened Tex Wasabi's. A southern BBQ and California sushi restaurant. A second was opened in Sacramento.
