On June 18, 2008, the metal blog Antiquiet announced it had received copies of tracks from the nigh-mythical Guns N' Roses album Chinese Democracy, and had it available for streaming. The streaming link was removed after a call from someone on the Guns N' Roses team. Blogger Kevin Cogill was arrested in August 2008 for posting the songs. A blogger named "Incognito" posted on June 14, 2008 on the Velvet Rope Forums that he would donate $1,500 to the charity of Guns N' Roses choice if the band would leak a Chinese Democracy demo.
