Gunnar Esiason is the son of former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason. Gunnar suffers from cystic fibrosis, a disease of the respiratory and digestive systems. Shortly after his son was diagnosed, Boomer Esiason formed the Boomer Esiason Foundation to help fund cystic fibrosis research and awareness.
