The Indian Hunter side missions, or Hunting side missions, are part of the western-themed video game Gun.http://xbox360.ign.com/objects/758/758695.html In these side missions, Colton "Cole" White, the game's Apache protagonist, needs to prove his hunting skills to the Indian Hunter. Hunting works differently than the other side missions as you are not locked into Hunting once it is unlocked. You do not have to stop all other gameplay when hunting a beast. You will receive a message from the game whenever a beast you are hunting is nearby. Hunting missions are unlocked from the beginning of the game, and are an easy way to boost your Gunhand stat +4. Successful completion of all of the Hunting side missions unlocks The Greatest Hunter achievement.http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/gun/guide/
Talk to the Indian Hunter west of Magruder's Mine and north of Pipe Lake to begin this side mission. He will provide you with information about the beasts you are hunting. The Indian Hunter will also recommend that you hunt with either the Apache or Blackfoot Fire bow. Either of these bows will take a beast out with one shot to the animal's head, while a gun will take several shots. Gun shots also destroy the animal's pelt, lowering its cash value earned from the mission.

Indian Hunter Side MIssion Tips
Each type of beast is native to a specific part of the map. Some will only be located as you approach from certain directions. When the game notifies you that an animal is near, dismount your horse so that you do not scare the beast away. Walk slowly towards the animal until the game notifies you that you are very close. At that point, crouch and sneak up on the beast. When you are a few yards away, the game will notify you that you are within range. Take your bow and shoot the animal in the head. Once the hunt is completed, return to the Indian Hunter for your next assignment.
