Gumball 3000 is an annual 3000 mile international rally that occurs on public roads. Each year a new route is chosen for the race to occur.
The 2009 Gumball 3000 will start in Los Angeles, California on May, 2, 2009 and end seven days later in Miami Beach, Florida. The over 100 cars participating will have scheduled stops in Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, New Orleans and more.
2007 Race Canceled
The 2007 Gumball 3000 was canceled after participants Nick Morley and Matthew McConville were involved with a hit-and-run accident in Macedonia which led to the death of another driver. Morley and McConville attempted to flee the scene and were allegedly picked up by a BMW.
