Gulf Shores is a city on the Gulf of Mexico on the southern most coast of Alabama. Located near Pensacola and Mobile it is a great location for a beach vacation.
Gulf Shores, Alabama is developing a "Snowbird" population due to the mild winters where the temperature is usually in the 60's. It has become a favorite place to spend Thanksgiving weekend for many people in the Eastern portion of the United States.

The first residents of Gulf Shores were the Creeks, The Alibamas and Seminole Indians. Pirates would use the coves in the area to hide in order to plunder the Spanish galleons. People still search for Captain Billy Bowleg's treasure. -
