While a few reviewers hated the game, the overwhelming majority of reviewers gave Guitar Hero III' glowing reviews. Notably, many reviews loved the improved guitar, which features wireless connectivity and improved tilt sensitivity for less accidental activation of Star Power during the game. Gamers generally gave the game favorable reviews as well. The only aspect of the game that was not particularly well received are the new boss battles, which have players play against computer controlled rockers such as Tom Morello and Slash using the game's new battle mode. Players complained that the battles were too dependent on luck, and that they did not enhance the gameplay.
