McFarlane Toys announced on June 26, 2008, that it will be releasing a line of action figures for the popular video game series Guitar Hero. The line is expected to be released in November 2008, and will consist of four figures: Axel Steel, Johnny Napalm, Lars Umlaut and God of Rock. Each figure stands 6 inches tall on a black Guitar Hero base and has 15 to 18 movable parts. Each comes with a unique guitar, which can be swapped out between all the figures.
