The Guelph Storm are a junior hockey team that plays in the Ontario Hockey League in Canada. The Storm are an amateur team made up of players that are looking to possibly have professional hockey careers in the future. Guelph began playing in the OHL in 1991-92. In their history, the Storms have topped 90 points in the standings five times. The most points the team has gotten in a single season is 103, during their championship season of 2003-04. 2009-10 Season
The Guelph Storm barely qualified for the OHL playoffs during the 2009-10 season. During the season, Guelph was led in scoring by Taylor Beck, who has 39 goals and 53 assists to wrap up 93 points on the season. His teammate, Peter Holland, had 79 points to finish second on the team in scoring. Brandon Foote was the top goalie for the Storm, finishing the season with a record of 20-8-1. NHL Players Who Played For Guelph
The Storm have had some of their alumni move on to play in the National Hockey League. Some of the players from Guelph who moved on to the NHL include Drew Doughty, Todd Bertuzzi, Dustin Brown, Craig Anderson and Jeff O'Neill. No players from Guelph were drafted during the 2010 NHL Draft.
