Guatemala held two rounds of voting for its 2007 presidential election. The first round took place on September 9. Out of 14 candidates, the National Unity of Hope Party's candidate Álvaro Colom and the Patriotic Party's Otto Molina advanced to the next round. The secondary run-off election between Colom and Molina was held on November 4, 2007. Colom won the presidency by about a 6% margin.
