In a move intended to honor Gene Upshaw, all NFL team uniforms will have a patch on them with the initials GU and Upshaw's uniform number, 63. Teams will wear the patch for the entire 2008 season. Upshaw passed away on August 20, 2008. MercuryNews.com: Honoring Upshaw (September 3, 2008)
