On August 24, 2008, Jenkins attended the "Recreate 68" rally at the Colorado State Capitol prior to the 2008 Democratic Convention and admitted that he intentionally attempted to "cause trouble."Think Progress: Griff Jenkins Tasked with ‘Causing Trouble’ at DNC (August 25, 2008) After Jenkins "put his hands on" former University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill in an attempt to interview him, a crowd of protestors surrounded Jenkins and began chanting "FOX News Slander."
