• Greta Scacchi is an Italian actress. She was born on February 18, 1960 in Milan, Italy. She has two older brothers. She attended the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School where she studied acting. In 1983, Scacchi became romantically involved with singer/songwriter Tim Finn. Their romance ended in 1989. That same year, she began dating actor Vincent D'Onofrio. The couple had a daughter together named Leila. Scacchi and D'Onofrio split in 1993. In 1998, Scacchi had a son named Matteo with her cousin Carlo Mantegazza. In January of 1995, the actress became a citizen of Australia. She currently lives in Hurstpierpoint, England.

• Acting Career

  Scacchi made her film debut in 1982 with the movie Das Zweite Gesicht. She went on to play in the films Heat and Dust, The Ebony Tower, White Mischief , Presumed Innocent, The Player and Country Life. Her more recent works include The Serpent's Kiss, The Red Violin, Beyond the Sea, Flightplan, Broken Trail and Brideshead Revisited.
