  • Gregg Williams is the defensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints in the National Football League. Williams is also the former defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars, the assistant head coach (defense) of the Washington Redskins, as well as the former head coach of the Buffalo Bills.

    Rumors of Williams' departure from the Jaguars began to circulate in December of 2008. These rumors were confirmed when he was hired as the defensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints on January 15, 2009.The Times-Picayune: Gregg Williams Hired... Saints Defensive Coordinator

  • Brief Biography

    Starting his NFL coaching career with the Houston Oilers in 1990, Williams stayed with the organization until 2000, whereupon he was given the opportunity to be the head coach for the Buffalo Bills. In Buffalo, he went 17-31 and was fired after a 6-10 season. Although not successful as a head coach, Williams is regarded as a great defensive strategist.
