Gregory Derayle Buckner was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, on September 16, 1976, and he went on to attend University Heights Academy. He continued his education at Clemson University. Buckner has played for several franchises throughout his career, including the Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves.
