• Green Fashion consists of clothing and accessories that are either reused, recycled or made from sustainable fabrics. Sustainable fabrics include organic cotton, bamboo, hemp, corn, soy, peace silk and other eco-friendly materials. Green fashion is important because it causes less harm to humans and the environment.

  1. About 1/5 lb. of pesticides goes into one T-shirt made of conventional cotton.
  2. Organic cotton is free of chemical pesticides.
  3. Organic fabrics are made from natural fibers that have been grown without the use of chemical pesticides, fertilizers or other toxic materials, preserving the health of humans and the environment.
  4. Conventional silk is made by boiling cocoons, killing the moth inside.
  5. Peace silk, also known as vegetarian silk, allows the moth to emerge from their cocoons to live out their full life cycle.
