Green bean casserole is a holiday favorite and one of the most popular side dishes served on Thanksgiving. The original recipes calls for canned green beans mixed with cream of mushroom soup, topped with French fried onions, but many variations have evolved to include other ingredients.

How to Make Green Bean Casserole
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine the milk and mushroom soup in a two quart casserole dish.
- Stir in the green beans and half of the French fried onions.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Top with the remaining French fried onions and bake for an additional five minutes.
- Allow to cool briefly, then serve and enjoy.
