The Greek Isles are full of luxury hotels. The best, well-rated one is in Santorini. Katikies Hotel is a Travel + Leisure 500 winner and on the Conde Nast Traveler Gold list. Each room has a kitchen, TV, CD player and best of all, a private balcony. The hotel itself has two pools, a library, two restaurants, a bar and nightly wine tasting.

Most moderate accommodations on the islands are still a bit pricey. In Rhodes, in the Dodecanese Islands, there is the Marco Polo Mansion. There are seven rooms, all with private bathrooms and all having their own personal touch. All prices include breakfast.

Cheap lodging is hard to find, but not impossible. The Philippi Hotel in Mykonos is a cheaper option in the Cyclades. There are 13 rooms, all with basic amenities such as air conditioning, televisions and balconies. The whole building is surrounded by a flower garden.
