The Great American Bash is an annual professional wrestling event held by World Wrestling Entertainment. 2008 will the mark the fifth "Bash" event under the WWE banner. The event originally began in 1985 under the National Wrestling Alliance promotion. The event was then held by World Championship Wrestling from 1991 to 2000.

The main event of the 2008 Great American Bash features Edge challenging Triple H for the WWE Championship.
