Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is an action game developed by Rockstar North, in which the player takes the role of a mobster working his way up the ranks of organized crime. Like other games in the Grand Theft Auto series, the game combines third-person action with shooting and driving elements.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is set in a fictional city that's loosely based on Miami. Players take the role of Tommy Vercetti, a hitman who has recently released from prison. Vercetti's former bosses are worried his reintroduction into Liberty City will make others uncomfortable, so they send him south to be their man on the street in Vice City.
