    Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is set in a fictional city that's loosely based on Miami. Players take the role of Tommy Vercetti, a hitman who has recently released from prison. Vercetti's former bosses are worried his reintroduction into Liberty City will make others uncomfortable, so they send him south to be their man on the street in Vice City.     Like other Grand Theft Auto games, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is an open-world game, where players can choose to take on missions and further the story or simply play around in the world. Players can steal vehicles, participate in drive-by shootings and hire prostitutes.
