Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is a traditional sandbox-style action-adventure game, spanning more than 100+ individual single-player missions. In addition to the main campaign, the game also features numerous hours of side quests, specialty missions, races and hidden object hunting.

Set in a different city than previous Grand Theft Auto games, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has players take on the role of Carl Johnson (CJ) who returns to the West coast for his mother's funeral. • Because the game is an open world, most missions may be completed in any order. However, some missions will only be available after you complete certain objectives in the game or unlock new areas to explore.
• If you're having trouble completing a particularly difficult mission or objective, take some time to upgrade your skills (Stamina, Muscles, Bike Skill, Driving Skill, etc.)
• Try mixing and matching different outfits and clothing options and notice how people treat you around the cities.
• The quality of the vehicles on the street is reflective of the type of neighborhood you're currently located in. With nicer neighborhoods come nicer cars and vice versa.
