• Stirring Up Controversy

  While all of the games in the Grand Theft Auto series have drawn controversy for their violent and sexual content, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas drew the most thanks to a third-party cheat to the PC version. Dubbed the "Hot Coffee" mod, this cheat unlocked a graphic sex minigame that was not normally accessible in the game during regular gameplay. When word of the explicit content spread, the ESRB re-rated the original version of the game Adults Only (AO), but Rockstar removed the questionable content and re-released the game to keep the Mature (M) rating.
