Trophies in Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars are awarded for completing various tasks in the game. The trophies can be viewed on the trophy shelf in the player's safehouse.

Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars features a number of in-game rewards that are new to the Grand Theft Auto series of games. One of these is the awarding of trophies for specific tasks, including drug dealing, making a certain amount of money and obtaining all of the safehouse, among others. These trophies are automatically displayed on the trophy shelf in the palyer's safehouse.

Another form of in-game reward that's new in Chinatown Wars is the awarding of medals for completing the side missions. There are three levels of medals a player can earn: gold, silver and bronze. The level of medal the player earns is determined by how many points they can score in the mission.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is the first game in the Grand Theft Auto series to appear on the Nintendo DS. The game follows the story of Huang Lee. After his father's murder, Huang is put on a mission to deliver the Yu Jian sword to his uncle in order to make sure his family maintains control of the Triad gangs of Liberty City. Huang, a spoiled rich kid who knows little about the world of organized crime, expects everything to run smoothly, but his trip does not go exactly as planned.
