Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars is the first game in the series to introduce medals as a gameplay element. The medals are awarded for completing side missions and add replay value to the game in encouraging players to play through completed missions again in order to obtain a better medal. There are three levels of medals in the game: gold, silver and bronze. The gold medal is the best.

About the Game

Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars is the first game in the Grand Theft Auto series to appear on the Nintendo DS. The game is set in Liberty City, the same location as other games in the series, including Grand Theft Auto IV. The game follows the story of a spoiled rich kid named Huang Lee.
