In the Grand Theft Auto IV mission First Date, you learn the dating basics on your "first date" with Michelle. You will also bowl a few frames. You may call Michelle any time after the successful completion of Three's a Crowd to set up this first date. If Niko Bellic does not call, Michelle will call to set up the date. Once the date is completed successfully, Michelle is officially Niko's girlfriend, and can be called to set up a date at any time.

• Roman calls as you approach Michelle's place to pick her up for their first date. The Albanian loan sharks have cornered Roman on the basketball courts in the Firefly Projects, and he needs Niko's help. 
• Decide if you will continue with Niko's date, or postpone the date to help Roman. If you elect to go on the date, Roman will be beaten and hospitalized.
• If you decide to help Roman, follow the GPS to the basketball courts to begin the Bleed Out mission. Otherwise, you will head to Michelle's to begin your First Date.
• Accept the date when you are ready to start the mission.
• You will need to get to her apartment on Rotterdam Hill in the allotted time to start the date.
• A cutscene plays after you arrive at Michelle's that displays the basics of dating and girlfriends, as well as the benefits of having friends, and ending with a brief look at Michelle's clean apartment.
• Get into your car with Michelle.
• Follow your GPS to the Firefly Island carnival. The carnival is close for repairs. Michelle suggests bowling instead.
• Head to the bowling alley.
• Enter the alley and speak with the man at the counter to pay for a game of bowling.
• Select a lane and begin by following the on-screen instructions.
• After bowling for a bit, take Michelle back to her car.
• As long as Michelle has fun, you don't get angry with her for beating you, and you don't run over any pedestrians in the car, the date mission should be a success.
• If the date was a success, Michelle ends by saying she had a great time and would be interested in going out with Niko again.
• Successful completion also unlocks the Easy Fare mission.
