Diamonds In The Rough
- Target: Tony Prince and his men
- Reward: N/A
- Shortly after your last mission with Elizabeta, Ashley will call you and tell you to meet her and Ray in Little Italy.
- 5min.com: GTAIV - TLAD - Ray - Diamonds in the Rough (Time: 8:17)
- Ray will ask you to get some diamonds back for him.
- Johnny will call Jim to get some Lost MC to back him up on the mission. Head towards the blue marker on your bike.
- The entire gang will be on the freeway! Ride towards the front to take the reins of the biker formation.
- Lead the gang towards the yellow marker towards the east.
- A cutscene will play with Tony and the diamond deal. They spot the Lost and will try to make a getaway.
- You will have to chase down Tony's limo and its escort car.
- Start by driving forward as the two cars pull in front of you. Make sure your SMG is equipped and aim for the tires to slow down the car in front of you. Take out the gunmen that poke out of the window if you can.
- Once you take the escort car of commission, turn your attention towards the limo. Use the same strategies you did on the escort car to stop the limo.
- When the limo is disabled and the gunmen dead, Tony's man will get out of the car and try to make a getaway on foot. Unfortunately for him, it will be the last thing he does.
- Gun him down and pick up the diamonds that he drops.
- NOTE: If you managed to attract the cops, you will have to lose them before you can continue with the mission.
- Johnny will call Ray and ask for further instructions. Ray will tell you to drop off the diamonds in two separate trash dumpsters.
- Head towards one on your map and drop off half the diamonds.
- At this point, one of Tony's cars will attack you. Kill the two gunmen here and then continue towards the other dropoff point.
- Once the diamonds are safely tucked away, the mission will end.
Collector's Item
- Target: Mafia
- Reward: $10,000
- This mission will start shortly after you finish Roman's Holiday from Ashely's mission line. Ray will call you and inform you about where the diamond deal is happening.
- 5min.com: GTAIV - TLAD - Ray - Collectors Item (Time: 7:18)
- Drive to the Libertonian and head towards yellow marker near the north entrance. Enter the building through the door next to the marker.
- Climb up the stairs to the main hall of the museum. Your new objective will be to meet Niko at the goods entrance.
- Run through the hall and through the double doors at the end. Make a left and continue along the path, down the stairs to the yellow marker. A cutscene will play.
- Another deal gone wrong. When you have control again, your goal is to escape the Libertonian.
- Aim ahead and take out the enemies in front of you from behind cover. Make your way to the end of the hallway, then turn right.
- Take the left at the end, and go down the stairs. Watch for the goon that comes out around the corner.
- Looks like Niko has done a lot of the work for you already. Go to the yellow marker and through the door.
- Have your weapon ready, as an enemy will immediately roll out in front of you.
- When you go through the door behind him, you'll find yourself surrounded by a whole mess of hostile mafia. Looks like Ray sold you out.
- Quickly run to the car in front of you to the left and take cover.
- Pull out your pipe bombs and toss a couple in front of you, where the mafia cars are. With luck, you'll take out quite a few of them.
- Keep tossing out pipe bombs to thin out the enemy ranks, then switch to your favorite weapon and take out as many as you can.
- Eventually, some of them will get in cars and try to make a getaway.
- Quickly find a vehicle and give chase.
- Use normal road chase tactics to kill the remaining mafia vehicles. Aim for the car tires first to slow them down. Taking out the driver will immobilize the vehicle, making it an easy target.
- NOTE: You may be spotted by the police throughout this chase sequence. Ignore the cops the best you can and concentrate on taking out the mafia vehicles. Even if you lose the cops, you'll probably get another wanted rating firing at the mafia.
- Once both mafia cars are dead, lose your wanted rating.
- Johnny will call Jim and set up a meet in north Algonquin. Head to the blue marker to trigger a cutscene and end the mission.
Was It Worth It?
- Target: Mafia
- Reward: N/A
- Shortly after Ray's previous mission finishes, Jim will text you to meet at Ray's.
- 5min.com: GTAIV - TLAD - Ray - Was it Worth it? (Time: 4:23)
- NOTE: Before heading to Ray's, call Terry and stock up on ammo and armor.
- After the intense cutscene, Johnny will want to check on Ashley. Head back to the Lost headquarters and Ashley will give you a phone call.
- Looks like you are a marked man. Ray has sent several cars full of Guidos to take you out.
- NOTE: This is a mission you will definitely want to call Terry and Clay for backup. Given the special circumstances, not only will they come to your aid, they will set up an ambush on top of a building in Alderney.
- After getting off the phone with Terry or Clay, get on your vehicle and quickly make your way to them. Try to avoid getting in firefights with the mafia hitmen, as it will be hard to fight them in the open streets.
- Once you reach the building, climb the ladder on the front side and take cover on the roof.
- Now you play the waiting game for the mobsters to come to you.
- As the cars full of henchmen show up one by one, it's up to you to take them out with whatever weaponry you have.
- TIP: 'Explosives, such as pipebombs or grenade/rocket launchers will be very effective here as the mafia cars tend to bunch up next to each other.
- When all of the hitmen are dead, drop to the ground and get on a vehicle.
- NOTE: It is possible to complete this mission without the use of the ambush, but will require some creativity on your part. The only requirement is that you kill all of the mafia targets before you die.
- Drive towards the Lost headquarters to find Ashley. A somber cutscene will play and end the mission.
