Witness Protection
Similar to the Cops n' Crooks Mode in Grand Theft Auto IV, Witness Protection involves team-based gameplay. One of the teams is tasked with protecting some very important witnesses, while the other team is tasked with taking them out. The team protecting the witnesses play as members of "NOOSE," the Grand Theft Auto IV equivalent of the FBI. Another team-based mode, Own the City tasks players with taking over sections of Liberty City known as turfs. Players gain control of turfs by killing every computer-controlled and rival player in the turf. Basically a backwards game of Tag on motorcycles, Lone Wolf Biker designates one player the Lone Wolf. The rest of the players must chase down and eliminate the Lone Wolf. The player who succeeds in taking down the Lone Wolf, becomes the Lone Wolf himself and the gameplay begins anew. Chopper vs. Chopper is a two-player mode where one player is on a motorcycle and the other is in a helicopter. The biker's goal is to race through the checkpoints while avoiding being taken out by the helicopter. Similar to the Mafia mode from Grand Theft Auto IV, Club Business gives all players tasks to complete. Upon completing a task, the player can then move on to a new task.
