"Search and Delete" is a mission in the video game, Grand Theft Auto IV. Brucie is looking for the location of an informant he wants to kill. He asks you to steal a police car and hack its computer system. Track down Lyle Rivas, the informant, and kill him.

"Search and Delete" occurs between the primary missions "Rigged to Blow" and "The Master and the Molotov."

1. Dial 911 to get your hands on a police car
2. Use the police computer to track down Lyle Rivas, the informant
3. Beat up Lyle's car enough and he'll try to escape on foot, making him an easier target

  Meet up with Brucie, who shows off for a bit and eventually tells you the mission at hand. He wants you to steal a cop car and hack its computer system. Brucie needs the information in the computer to locate an informant he wants to take out before he can testify.

• 
  You can summon the police by dialing 911, but be careful how you steal the car. This type of action tends to garner a lot of police attention.

• 
  Note: Police cars cannot be taken to the Pay and Spray. Make use of straightaways to evade the police. It is easier to lose them by hitting the gas on a long stretch than by trying to distance yourself on corners.

• 
  Once you escape the police chase, talk to Brucie and he will give you the name of the guy he needs killed: Lyle Rivas. Search the police database for his information and then head to Lyle's house.

• 
  When you arrive, Lyle makes a break for it and you need to track him down. He's a fairly good driver. But if you manage to immobilize the car, he will attempt to escape by foot. Lyle is an easy target once he gets out of the car... The SMG is the gun for the job.
