Bowling is one of Grand Theft Auto IV’s recreational minigames. Although it is primarily an optional activity, it also serves as a dating spot during one of the game’s missions.

Besides being a nice change of pace from the standard gameplay in Grand Theft Auto IV, bowling can also be a helpful in establishing friendships with a variety of characters including Roman, Dwayne, Packie, Little Jacob, and Brucie. If players spend enough time bonding with them, a unique special ability will be unlocked that allows Niko to call on them for special favors.
