There are nine different assassin missions in Grand Theft Auto IV. A couple of these missions occur in the main storyline. There are also other missions in the game that could be mistaken for assassin missions (such as Photo Shoot and Blood Brothers), since you are directed to kill certain people. However, these aforementioned missions are not counted as part of the assassin missions. If you complete all nine assassin mission, you will unlock the achievement Assassin's Greed (a play on the game Assassin's Creed) worth 20 gamer points.
Grand Theft Auto IV Story
Niko comes to America from Eastern Europe in hopes of living out the American dream. However, he begins working for a criminal organization due to his cousin's influences. Unlike past Grand Theft Auto games, Niko is affected emotionally by his crimes and his descent into madness and regret is evident as the game progresses.-
