• Songs cost 89-99¢ each
    • Songs available from multiple in-game radio stations
    • Songs can be accessed in-game via the in-game cell phone
  • Rockstar announced their partnership with Amazon.com to deliver music from Grand Theft Auto IV to gamers via its digital music distribution system. This will work with the in-game cell phone and through a new technology known as "ZiT."
  • How It Works

When you hear a song you like in the game, dial a number on your in-game cell phone, then eventually receive a text message with the artist and song info. Also, anyone who has an account at Rockstar's Social Club website will be sent an e-mail with the link that will take them to a Amazon.com custom playlist that holds the songs that were just dialed in by the player. These songs can run from 89-99¢ each and are DRM-free.

You can also buy songs via the in-game PCs, iPods, and various other devices that work with this new system. There is supposedly more than 150 songs in the game.

  • Game Info

Grand Theft Auto IV is the ninth title in the long-running Grand Theft Auto series. Set in a redesigned Liberty City, based on four of the boroughs of New York City and parts of New Jersey, the total area of the map is smaller than San Andreas. While smaller, the newly designed Liberty City is far more detailed and the largest individual city in the Grand Theft Auto series. The game tells the story of Niko Bellic, an Eastern European immigrant who immigrates to Liberty City to live "the American Dream" at the urging of his cousin Roman.
