Grand Teton National Park offers many activities for its visitors to do including hiking the park's many trails. The national park has a rugged landscape with a high elevation and steep trails. Because of this, the park has a large number of strenuous trails. Along with the difficult trails, the park has many trails that are rated easy to moderate. Grand Teton National Park Trails
Flagg Ranch has two trails and both are rated easy. They range from 2.5 to four miles long.

The Jackson Lake Lodge area’s two trails are rated easy. The shortest, Lunch Tree Hill, is only ½ miles long and has interpretive signs along the trail.
Two Ocean Lake area has three trails. Two are moderate and take hikers by lakes. The third is rated moderate-strenuous and has 1,700 feet of total climbing.
Signal Mountain has one moderate trail that travels through forests to an overlook.

String Lake has on easy trail of 3.7 miles and one very strenuous trail that has 4,900 feet of climbing.
The Jenny Lake/Cascade Canyon area has six trails. A shuttle boat can be taken to the mouth of Cascade Canyon for a fee. The trails range from 5.2 to 24 miles long.

Menors Ferry has one easy trail that is 0.3 miles long and rated easy. It takes hikers on a historic homestead and ferry tour.
Death Canyon offers four trails that are rated from moderate to very strenuous. Granite Canyon has one strenuous trail that is 18.5 miles long. It takes hikers to Marion Lake.
The Top of the Tram area contains two trails. One is moderate and the other is strenuous.

Backcountry Hiking
Back-country camping and hiking is offered by the park. All overnight trips require a free permit. Overnight hikers can get their permits at the Colter Bay and Craig Thomas Discover Visitors Centers or the Jenny Lake Ranger Station. Climbing or mountaineering overnight camping permits can only be obtained at the Jenny Lake Ranger Station during the summer.http://www.nps.gov/grte/planyourvisit/back.htm
Grand Teton National Park Highlights
Viewers see a lake with a mist rising over it and then the mountains. Glaciers have carved out the mountains. The clip then talks about the marmots that live in the park and their living habits. Jenny Lake is easily reached and one of the lakes at the bottom of the mountain range. Moose live in the Grand Teton National Park and are seen in the clip.
