This page highlights the winners of the 2009 Grammy Awards, which were held on February 8, 2009, in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.
Album of the Year went to Robert Plant and Alison Krauss for their album Raising Sand, while Coldplay took Song of the Year honors for the song "Viva La Vida."
Going into the ceremony, rapper Lil Wayne led all artists with eight Grammy nominations, while Coldplay was in second with seven. At last year's ceremony, Amy Winehouse led the winners with a total of five Grammy Awards, including wins for Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Only recordings that were released between October 1, 2007 and September 30, 2008 are eligible to win one of the many Grammy Awards.
