Winner Album of the Year: 'The Suburbs' by Arcade Fire

Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson had the privilege of announcing arguably the highest honor of the night to Arcade Fire for their album The Suburbs. The group graciously thanked the audience and their fans before they performed the song Ready to Start from their Grammy award-winning album to conclude the 2011 Grammy's in Los Angeles, California.

Arcade Fire Grammy Awards Performance

The brand performed the song The Month of May from their Grammy nominated album The Suburbs as performers on BMX bikes circled around them on the stage.

Winner Record of the Year: 'Need You Now' by Lady Antebellum

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony had the honor of announcing that Need You Now by Lady Antebellum won one of the highest honor's offered, 'Record of the Year'. A portion of the song was performed earlier in the evening on the Grammy stage. The group also won 'The songwriters award', 'Best Country Performance', 'Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals', and 'Best Country Song'.

Drake & Rihanna Grammy Awards Performance

Puff Diddy announced Rihanna's second return to the stage and Drake's first for their duet What's My Name

Winner Best Rap Album: 'Recovery' by Eminem

Eminem also won the Grammy for 'Best Solo Rap Performance' which was not televised. The rapper was nominated in 10 categories in 2011 and has won 11 Grammy's in his career thus far.

Barbara Streisand Grammy Awards Performance

Streisand's performance was announced by Kris Kristofferson who proclaimed that "She has sweetened our lives with her soul, and her songs". Streisand performed her Grammy and Oscar Award Winning Song Evergreen (The love Theme from the movie 'A Star is Born).

Mick Jagger Grammy Awards Performance

Jagger's performance consisted of his version of Everybody Needs Somebody to Love. He was backed up by a gospel choir throughout the performance.

Winner Best New Artist: Esperanza Spalding

Spalding won the award for her third album entitled Chamber Music Society. Spalding was chosen by President Obama to perform before his Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech in Oslo in 2009. She is a jazz artist, vocalist and bassist.

Eminem, Skylar Grey, Dr. Dre & Rihanna Grammy Awards Performance

Seth Rogen announced this performance by Rhianna, Eminem, Skylar Grey, Dr. Dre. Rihanna opened the set by singing a portion of Love the Way You Lie by herself before being joined by Eminem onstage to complete the song. A portion of I Need a Doctor was performed as well with Skylar Grey providing support on the choruses/hook of the song. Dr. Dre made an appearance and completed the last rap verse of the song.

Winner Song of the Year: 'Need You Now' by Lady Antebellum

Lady Antebellum picked up this award in addition to the "Best Country Album' Grammy they won earlier in the televised evening. The country trio also won two Grammy's during the un-televised portion of the awards, adding 'Best Country Song' and 'Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals' to their list of successful nominations. The trio performed the award winning song onstage earlier in the broadcast.

Keith Urban, Norah Jones & John Mayer Grammy Awards Performance

The trio performed the song Jolene to pay tribute to Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient Dolly Parton before announcing the award for 'Song of the Year'.

Katy Perry Grammy Awards Performance

Neil Patrick Harris announced Perry's performance which featured the song Not Like The Movies. Perry began her performance seated on a swing hung from the ceiling as a slide show of images was displayed behind her. Coming off the swing, she performed Teenage Dream in front an enormous red heart made of lights. Perry dedicated her performance to "All the Valentine's Day Lovers".

Cee Lo Green Grammy Awards Performance

Green performed Forget You playing the piano wearing a glittering headpiece in addition to an enormous multicolored feather body-piece. Green was joined by the muppets and Gwyneth Paltrow who recently performed a version of the song on the show Glee.

Winner Best Country Album: 'Need You Now' by Lady Antebellum

Miley Cyrus and the King's of Leon announce Lady Antebellum as winners in the category of 'Best Country Album' for Need You Now. The song was performed by the group onstage before they received the award.

Lady Antebellum Grammy Awards Performance

Glee star Lea Michele and Superbowl Champion Clay Matthews announce this performance by the country music group Lady Antebellum. The group performed a medley of songs, including the nominated Need You Now.

Lady Antebellum picked up this award in addition to the "Best Country Album' Grammy they won earlier in the televised evening. Mumford and Sons, Avett Brothers 2011 Grammy Awards Performance

Mumford and sons sang their single Cave and the Avett Brothers sang Head Full of Doubt, Road Full of Promises.

Winner Best Pop Vocal Album: 'The Fame Monster' by Lady Gaga

Selena Gomez and Donnie Wahlberg presented this award to Lady Gaga for her album, 'The Fame Monster'. In her acceptance speech, Gaga announced that in order to feel confident enough to sing her new single 'Born this way' she felt that she had to pretend that she was super star Whitney Houston.

Winner Best Rock Album: 'Resistance' by Muse

Paramore presented the award of 'Rock Album of the Year' to Muse who earlier in the evening performed the single Uprising from their now award-winning album. The group is also nominated in the yet-to-be announced categories of 'Best Rock Song' and 'Best Rock Performance Duo or Group'.

Justin Bieber and Usher 2011 Grammy Awards Performance

Justin Bieber opened the performance playing Baby an acoustic guitar. Bieber then sang Never Say Never as a series of gymnasts performed stunts and Jayden Smith also made a surprise rap guest appearance. Usher followed suit, performing O.M.G. while showing off his signature dance skills. Bieber came out for the second half of the song and danced alongside his mentor.

Winner Best Female Country Vocal: 'The House That Built Me' Miranda Lambert

Lambert won the Grammy for 'Best Female Country Vocal' after performing the song on the Grammy stage only moments earlier. The song is nominated in two more categories yet to be decided, including 'Best Country Song' and 'Song of the Year'. Lambert ended her acceptance speech stating, "I love Country Music'. 

Bruno Mars, B.O.B. and Janelle Monae 2011 Grammy Awards Performance

The young trio of artist's Grammy performance opened with a version of the song Beautiful Girls that was supported by a full orchestra. Bruno Mars followed up that performance with a 1950's version of the song Grenade. Janelle Monae rounded out the performance by singing a rendition of her single, Cold War

These young Artists have 14 Grammy nominations between them.

Muse 2011 Grammy Awards Performance

Muse performed the song Uprising from their latest album, Resistance. The group is nominated in three award categories, including 'Best Rock Performance Duo or Group', 'Best Rock Song' for Resistance and 'Best Rock Album' for their album Resistance.

Miranda Lambert 2011 Grammy Awards Performance

Miranda Lambert's fiance announced that the artist would be performing The House that Built Me, which is nominated for a number of Grammy Awards, including 'Song of the Year'. The song has notably already won a number of awards, including 'Video of the Year' and 'Song of the Year' at the annual CMT Awards. It is also nominated for 'Best Female Country Performance', 'Best Country Song' in addition to 'Song of the Year'.

Lady Gaga started her performance of 'Born This Way' by climbing out of the pod she was carried into the Grammy's. Her creative director explained that she couldn't exit the pod until her performance because she was undergoing a metamorphosis. She played an enormous organ surrounded by smoke before finishing her performance on the stage of the floor at the front of a triangle of dancers.

Opening of the 2011 Grammy Awards: Aretha Franklin Tribute

The 2011 Grammy Awards

Honoring "the year's best and brightest in music," the 2011 Grammy Awards take place on Sunday, February 13, 2011, starting at 8:00 p.m. EST. The ceremony airs live on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Since the 2010 Grammy Awards were held earlier in the year, music released from September 1, 2009, through September 30, 2010, is eligible for the 2011 Grammy Awards.

On December 2, 2010, the complete list of nominations for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards was released.  Rapper Eminem led all others in total nominations, with 10, including a nomination for Record of the Year for his "Love The Way You Lie" collaboration with Rihanna and Album of the Year for Recovery. Bruno Mars came in second with seven nominations, including going up against Eminem for Record of the Year with the track "Nothin' On You."
